A personal home for your games. Shape your look with Frost Studio’s up to 4-pass chained DLSS 5 neural stack, unlock Nordic Flow 2x universal Frame Generation across DirectX 11 and DirectX 12, follow every frame with Skellig and capture with Jata.
Your game, ready to share. Jata captures supported 64-bit DirectX 9, 10, 11 and 12 games as SDR / sRGB PNG images. HDR capture on DirectX 11 and 12 gently rolls off bright highlights; DirectX 9 and 10 captures preserve the final SDR image.
Keep the game’s own HUD. Leave NORDIC, ReShade and Skellig panels out of the image. Choose a destination and a capture shortcut for each game, or save your choices for the whole library.
Included in Launcher 0.5.95 with Core 0.7.42. For a game without Neural Rendering, open Jata, select the game and choose Enable Jata for this game. The separate capture component needs no NVIDIA NR runtime. Close the game before updating its components, then start or restart it to capture. Supported 64-bit DirectX 9/9Ex, 10/10.1, 11 and 12 games only; 32-bit games, OpenGL and Vulkan are not supported.
A configurable shortcut, a folder of your choice and a PNG ready to share. This diagram illustrates HDR-to-SDR capture on DirectX 11 and 12. SDR captures preserve the final scene colors.
01 / YOUR LIGHT
Automatic reference white.
Jata automatically reads RenoDX’s Game Brightness in real time or matches your Windows HDR display calibration (with a 203-nit ITU-R BT.2408 fallback), or lets you set 80 to 400 nits per game or for every game. Bright, saturated highlights roll off into the SDR image without clipping flat.
02 / YOUR SHORTCUT
Make the key yours.
Use the default combination or record a keyboard shortcut. Keep a separate destination and settings for each game.
03 / YOUR LIBRARY
One game. Or all of them.
Save for one game or share your capture settings with Save for all games. Sharing settings does not install Jata into unconfigured games. Enable the separate capture component for each game that needs it, then start or restart the game.

A warmer place to press play.
NORDIC 5 is completely free. Get Core 0.7.42 Beta 01 with Launcher 0.5.95. Fresh installations start with Gunko_Golden: Bear + Serpent, Cinema HDR, Film Grain 1.00 and Film Softness 0.10. Existing users keep their selected default, saved profiles and per-game tuning.
Core 0.7.42 and Launcher 0.5.95 introduce the world’s first universal up to 4-pass chained DLSS 5 Neural Rendering stack (Dual, Triple and Quad pass chaining in model-space across Bear, Falcon and Serpent with Full Precision, Balanced FP16 and Ultra Low VRAM buffering) alongside Nordic Flow 2x Universal Frame Generation for DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 games. Unlike 2D post-present interpolators, Nordic Flow 2x captures pre-HUD scene color and real 3D depth guides in-pipeline, synthesizes the midpoint frame with depth-and-motion disocclusion confidence, evaluates DLSS 5 Neural Rendering on the generated frame, and composites the crisp native game HUD on top of both frames via hardware swapchain pacing. Setup 0.5.95 also allows RTX 40-series FP16-compat runtime users to install and apply Gunko_Golden directly on fresh games, and performs cumulative one-step updates to the latest GitHub release. Testing across games? Join our Project NJOL Discord to share your logs (Gunko.log and OpusPresenter-report.json) and help us fine-tune frame pacing and per-game profiles.
An independent community project, not affiliated with or endorsed by NVIDIA. The public package contains no NVIDIA NR runtime; importing one requires your own lawful entitlement. Game, anti-cheat, renderer and hardware restrictions apply. Read the beta terms.
The download keeps the filename NordicDLSS5.exe for compatibility; the app is named NORDIC 5. Free beta. Compatibility and results vary; no universal game support or FPS gain is promised. The executable is not Authenticode-signed. NVIDIA and DLSS are NVIDIA trademarks.
Windows 10/11 x64 with .NET Framework 4.8 and Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, plus a compatible 64-bit game. Separate Jata capture supports DirectX 9/9Ex, 10/10.1, 11 and 12 without an NVIDIA NR runtime. Neural Rendering needs a supported DirectX 11 or 12 executable with native DLSS inputs and a compatible NVIDIA NR runtime, supplied separately. Jata support does not extend Neural Rendering or Skellig compatibility. Check the project instructions for game, renderer and hardware requirements. The download does not include NVIDIA DLLs.
How do profiles work?+
New installations start with Gunko_Golden. Existing users can choose it in Profiles: close your games, select the profile and choose Apply to selected games. Applying a profile replaces image tuning and creates a backup; ordinary updates keep your selected default, saved profiles and per-game tuning.
How do I update?+
Accept “Update now” when the launcher offers an update, or open the three-dot menu and choose “Check for updates now”. From Launcher 0.5.76, installed game add-ons update automatically by default, including games hidden from the library. From Launcher 0.5.86, NORDIC 5 first asks after a new release: choose “Update games” or “Not now”. “Keep this game on its current Nordic version” in the game menu leaves a game unchanged until you choose “Update”. Previously saved update preferences are respected. Keep NORDIC 5 open: running games are updated after they close. If automatic add-on updates are disabled, close your games, select them in the library and choose “Update selected”. Your selected profiles and saved settings are preserved. Restart the game after its update completes.
How do I open Frost Studio?+
After updating your game add-ons to Core 0.7.42, restart the game. Backslash, its F10 keyboard-layout fallback, or your selected NORDIC 5 shortcut opens Frost Studio. INS opens the full ReShade interface. Skellig has its own launcher section.
What is Jata?+
Jata is the NORDIC 5 game capture feature, designed for shareable SDR / sRGB PNG screenshots from SDR or HDR frames. It preserves the game HUD while excluding NORDIC, ReShade and Skellig panels. HDR reference white is matched automatically from RenoDX’s Game Brightness or your Windows HDR display calibration, or can be set manually in the Jata section alongside your folder and shortcut. Update the launcher and managed game add-ons, save your Jata settings and restart the game. For capture without Neural Rendering, select the game in Jata and choose Enable Jata for this game. Supported 64-bit DirectX 9/9Ex, 10/10.1, 11 and 12 games can capture; HDR conversion requires DirectX 11 or 12, while DirectX 9 and 10 capture SDR. Save for all games shares settings without installing Jata into unconfigured games. 32-bit games, OpenGL and Vulkan are not supported.
Are the films gameplay?+
No. The tour and guides use captured NORDIC 5 interface screens and packaged Skellig preview artwork. They show the controls and styles. The metrics are sample values; the films are not live interaction recordings, effect comparisons or FPS benchmarks.
